What Went Well?
It’s the end of the day. Your head hits the pillow. What’s running through your mind? Are you reliving everything that went wrong? Are you stressing about tomorrow? OR are you asking yourself, “What went well today?”
Most of our thoughts tend to be negative. In fact, studies have shown that people have a “negativity bias.” We give greater weight and attention to the negative rather than the positive. That doesn’t mean that the positive is no less real or important. It just means we need to be more intentional about recognizing and celebrating the positive.
We are nearing the end of the year. Some of your goals may feel like a distant memory while others are moving forward at a steady pace. Take some time today to ask yourself, “What is going well?” “What decisions have I made that have moved me forward?” You can use your successes to inspire your next right decision!
